Farm Credit of Central Kansas Scholarship
Program
Farm Credit of Central Kansas will be awarding up to $9,000 ($750
minimum per scholarship) to qualified applicants for the 2008-2009 academic
year. Eligible students (or their parent / guardian) must
be a stockholder of Farm Credit of Central Kansas.
In addition, the student must be completing the last half of
their undergraduate degree or certification program (junior or senior)
and be properly enrolled at their university, college,
trade or vocational school. (For example, to obtain the scholarship,
the student will have completed the first two years of studies
at a four year institution, one year at a junior college or the
first half or a vocational or trade school certification program.)

There
are not restrictions as to field of study. The student should
exhibit leadership potential, initiative and have a minimum
grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. In all other
respects, scholarships will be awarded without restriction
to sex, race, color, handicap, religion or national origin.
Scholarships are non-renewable, however recipients may apply again the following
year.
Applications are available online or you can stop by your local Farm Credit of
Central Kansas office to pick up a copy.
An impartial selection committee made up of Association stockholders will choose
the scholarship recipients.
Applications
will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March
28, 2008.
Selections will be made and recipients notified on or
about May 1, 2008. Payment of scholarship will be made directly to recipient
upon proof of full-time enrollment and payment of tuition for the next term. |
